Letter to the Pi Press editor

"Let's continue to make our voice heard in city decision-making and ask that, in the future, we be notified about projects proposed for our neighborhoods."

The city recently proposed parking meters for Grand Avenue and pointed out that Minneapolis has meters in many neighborhoods. The editors of the Minneapolis paper, too, want us to have meters on Grand Avenue. But we don't want to be like Minneapolis. St. Paul has a unique character and culture distinctively different from Minneapolis. That's why we like it here. Grand Avenue is our most-visited street in St. Paul, so who's to argue with success?

Let's continue to make our voice heard in city decision-making and ask that, in the future, we be notified about projects proposed for our neighborhoods.
